Bilbao is worth a visit! We took the metro from Santutxu to the end station on line C, "Plentzia", which turned out to be a beautiful village on the sea. The metro line goes only partly underground, so it was great to see the beautiful houses and gardens under the journey. Coming back we went out at "Casco Viejo" and came to the beautiful Plaza de Unamuno in the very center of the old city. Of course, the most important thing to visit in Bilbao is Guggenheim, but don't forget the small villages outside the city center!

Our favorite restaurant in Madrid, where we ate three times, is La Finca de Susana located at c/ Arlaban 4 (very close to Sevilla Metro stop). The dining room is lovely in architecture and decoration, the food is delicious (especially veg. tempura with YUMMY sauce), and the prices are shockingly low. We ordered a pesto pasta dish for 4.30 E, garden salad for 3.20 E, and small jar of house wine for 2.80 E.

Besides the normal tourist stops, catch the funicular all the way to the top of Barcelona where there is an amazing view and a small amusement park.

Bilbao is a very interesting and beautiful city. It blends the old with the contemporary. I was very surprised with my experiences. I only wish I had arranged for a longer stay. The riverfront development, the Guggenheim and their concert hall are great designs. Also, the bridges over the river along the waterfront were exceptional.

Barcelona is a city of many sites and interests. This is the city of Gaudi. Most of the time will be enjoying his ingenious creations (Casa Batllo, Casa Museu Gaudi, Guell Palace, Sagreada Familia, etc.) Also, do not miss the 1/2 day PullmarTour to Montserrat

I traveled to Rondo, Cordoba from this place. It takes about an hour by train to Cordoba and 3 hours by bus to Rondo. Bus station is easily reached by taxi for 5-6 Euros. For city transportation I used a bus ticket, which is valid for 10 rides and allows one transfer for each ride. Bus is quite crowded but frequent.

Stayed at Castilla Alicante, Hotel - Alicante, Spain.

We travelled in May and there were not very many people on our beach - San Juan, it seemed very empty and desolate whereas the beach nearest Alicante (Playa del Postiguet) looked much cosier with more activity and life but wasn't overcrowded just very pleasant and very central to the town. There were beautiful walks and scenery was excellent, great views from the Castilla Santa Barbara definitely worth a visit.
