Stayed at  Las Adelfas - Cordoba & Province, Spain.
The main objective for visiting Cordoba is the Mezquita, which is breath-taking and highly recommendable. Of other nice memories are the flamenco show (just opposite the Mezquita in Calle de Torrijos) and the splendid restaurant Maestro in Romero: nice atmosphere, excellent service, delicious courses, - but especially remembered are the fantastic home made desserts. We were recommended to take the bus from hotel Las Adelfas to town, but it was actually possible to go by car and park just outside the boundaries of the old town and then walk for the rest.

Stayed at  Los Linajes, Hotel - Segovia, Spain.
Segovia was one of the highlights of our trip to Spain. There is so much to see and the city has a great vibe. We really enjoyed the tour of the Alcazar, which has some amazing stained glass windows. We also climbed the Tower of Juan (an extra ticket) at Alcazar and the view was completely worth it, even though we were straight off an overseas flight and very tired! We had a car in Segovia, but didn't use it for in-town excursions - everything is easily accessible from Los Linajes. We used Segovia as our launching point for side trips to Avila and La Granja (both highly recommended). If I'm ever lucky enough to go back to Spain, I will definitely be going back to Segovia.

Stayed at  Murillo - Seville & Province, Spain.
Visit: the cathedral, hop on hop off bus, shopping area. Restaurants: in the streets San Eloy, there are a lot of tapas bars, further around plaza Santa Cruz, there are a lot of restaurants. Take a hotel around the center so everything is on a walking distance.

Stayed at  Parador - Barcelona Province, Spain.
Fly to Barcelona and hire a car. Tour historical Catalonia (Spain, Andorra and France) staying wherever you want - paradors, monasteries, French mountain inns, Catalan seaside villages etc. Fill the tank up in Andorra. Good time to visit is early spring lots of scenic snow and no crowds.

Stayed at  Ramblas Hotel - Barcelona, Spain.
By far the best way to get around Barcelona is by the Tour-Bus well worth the money and also the Metro. Be careful when choosing a restaurant, some can be very expensive but unfortunately the food does not match the price. Tapas bars are aplenty and on the whole good value

Stayed at  Castilla Alicante, Hotel - Alicante, Spain.
Recommend Scubamar dive centre in Moraira for all diving training/boat dives etc. Very friendly English instructors with great sense of humour. Hours drive from San Juan but worth it. Snorkeling off Tabarca is pretty good. There are boats coming from Alicante or St Pola.

Stayed at  Barcelo Hotel Nervion - Bilbao, Spain.
The Guggenheim is a must-see for the building alone. Old town of Bilbao and shopping district will keep you occupied for a day or two.

Stayed at  Augusta Valles - Barcelona Vicinity, Spain.
Barcelona has lots to see and do and plenty of ambience. Getting a little expensive at times but well worth a trip. Public transport fairly easy to use and people very friendly.
