Stayed at Batchelor Resort - Litchfield, Australia.

Batchelor out-of-season, viz, in the Wet, is extremely quiet. There are no obvious restaurants - you have to ask the locals for advice. We ate at the on-site restaurant at the Jungle Drum Bungalows, and it was excellent -- very Ernest Hemingway, very tropical. Last orders were at about 8.30pm - everything in the Top End shuts early!! The food was cooked fresh to order, so it's best not to be in a hurry. And the red wine was served chilled - it's "the way we do it" in the Top End. Hmmmm!
